
Las Cruces firefighters worked early Sunday morning to contain a blaze that damaged this mobile home on the 200 block of Three Crosses Avenue.
A Sunday morning mobile home fire displaced three residents and damaged electrical lines causing a temporary power outage to nearby homes.
About 12:50 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, Las Cruces firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on the 200 block of Three Crosses Avenue. Crews arrived to find fire and heavy smoke coming from a mobile home.
Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire from spreading to other nearby mobile homes and had the blaze under control within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
Flames and heat from the fire damaged an adjacent mobile home and nearby powerlines causing a temporary electrical outage to neighboring homes. A crew from El Paso Electric responded and worked through the night to restore the power.
The Red Cross was contacted to help find temporary accommodations for the three displaced residents.
The mobile home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. The cause of the fire and damage estimates have yet to be determined.
