Airport Uses UV Light to Disinfect Surfaces

The El Paso International Airport is using special light wave technology to disinfect surfaces against COVID-19. Airport spokesperson Cassandra Davisson says the ultra violet light technology is provided in three different configurations. The UV germicidal disinfection provides protection against COVID-19 and other microbes, mold, spores and more. Davisson says some UV lights are permanently used in ceilings of airport offices, others are table top mounted for sanitizing phones and computers, and the third variety of UV lights sit on a high tower from where public restrooms are disinfected.
