Albuquerque Sues Companies Involved in Design of Albuquerque Rapid Transit System

The city has gone to court over the design and construction of the Albuquerque Rapid Transit System, following complaints of falling streetlights and electric buses that can’t hold a charge. The lawsuit says as of last week, 46 of the 25-pound streetlights had fallen, endangering the public. The Albuquerque Journal reports accidents have occurred as a result of bus drivers struggling to navigate the ART routes. The suit names several companies involved in development of the system. One of the companies says it’s hopeful a swift solution can be found.
