Bank Card Scheme Suspect to Remain in Custody Until Trial

A man accused of being part of a scheme that stole more than 170-thousand dollars from New Mexico ATMs will remain in custody until his trial. Authorities say Stefan Boana was a member of a group that used counterfeit devices to steal banking information from New Mexicans. Federal officials say the group used teenagers to install the devices because they faced lighter penalties if caught. Boana is charged with access device fraud and possession of counterfeit access devices.
