A special graduation ceremony was held last month at Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado to honor the continuing achievements of Centennial High graduate, Kamrin Palmer, Class of 2020.
On Monday, March 2nd, shortly after 9pm, Las Cruces Police arrived at The Benevidez Center, 1045 Mc Clure in response to an alleged stabbing. There they found Palmer suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. While most of his class was dealing with all the unique setbacks specific to the class of 2020, Kamrin had the additional challenges of overcoming the serious crisis of his sustained injuries with surgery, therapy, and rehabilitation. Since that life altering event, Kamrin has made daily progress in his recovery.
He plans to continue his education at UNM, where he will study for his undergrad, with the intent to specialize in Pre- Med. From what he’s exemplified so far in his successes, he also is growing closer to obtaining his personal goal of gaining back his independence.
