City Council Members to Address Hazard Pay Proposal

Albuquerque city council members undertake discussion of a proposed hazard pay measure today. If passed, the measure would affect companies located inside city limits with hourly wage workers who earn 15-dollars or less and who engage with clients in person on the job. The companies would have to pay the workers an extra daily stipend of up to 60-dollars as hazard pay due to the risk they face from the coronavirus. A vote on the matter could be postponed until August.
