DOÑA ANA COUNTY AWARDED $3,039,750 FROM LOCAL GOVERNMENT CARES ACT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Doña Ana County has been awarded $3,039,750 from the CARES Act Relief Fund.  The fund makes monies available to local governments to provide grants to small businesses impacted by COVID-19.

The Cities of Anthony and Sunland Park, the Town of Mesilla and the Village of Hatch are partnering with Doña Ana County on this effort.  The Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce will be accepting applications from small businesses for the funds and a committee made up of representation from the four municipalities and the county will review the applications.  Contact the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce at (575) 524-1968 for information on the application process.

“The pandemic has been a terrible strain on all of our communities.  We are fortunate to get these funds to help small businesses in the unincorporated parts of the county as well as the municipalities,” said Fernando Macias, Doña Ana County Manager.

The application is available on the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce’s website at www.lascruces.org and on Doña Ana County’s website at www.donaanacounty.org.
