Lawmakers Call For Change In Immigrant Overcrowding Conditions

Lawmakers are calling on the federal government to alleviate immigrant overcrowding conditions.

This week, a letter signed by several U.S. Senators from around the country sent to the Department of Homeland Security is demanding change to the unsanitary conditions. Hundreds of immigrants are held near the border in precarious conditions in El Paso. CNN says that in her letter, Nevada Democrat Jacky Rosen states that action is needed now to alleviate standing room only conditions to which hundreds of immigrants are being subjected at the El Paso Del Norte Processing Center.
