Nurse gets Hefty Coronavirus Testing Bill

A nurse owes a lot of money after getting tested for coronavirus. On Friday, the Albuquerque Journal reported that University of New Mexico Hospital nurse Marie Sparks was required to be tested in order to be allowed to go back to work. She tested negative for coronavirus in March after she got back home from a trip to Colorado. She also got billed 15-hundred dollars. The hospital told her it was for other respiratory viruses they tested her for when they took the sample to do the coronavirus test. The report says Sparks didn’t know she was being tested for other viruses.
