Passenger who Allegedly Tried to Breach Cockpit on Flight to be Released

A man who caused a flight to be diverted to Albuquerque after he allegedly tried to breach the cockpit is being released from jail. A federal judge has ordered that Asiel Norton be moved to Hoffman Hall, which is a sober living community in Albuquerque. Norton allegedly pounded on the door of the cockpit during a flight from Los Angeles to Nashville last week, and had to be subdued. Norton is required to submit to supervision and a mental health evaluation.
