Second Suspect Arrested in Far East El Paso Shooting

Police say a second suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old boy during a drug deal in far east El Paso has been arrested. Police say 25-year-old Oscar Contreras was arrested Tuesday. He’s charged with being in the car during a drug deal, along with the teenager and Jonathan Meraz, and firing a weapon in the June third incident. He’s being held in the El Paso County Detention Center on one-million dollars bond.
