Stranded Hiker Rescued in Gila National Forest

A hiker stranded in the Gila National Forest is found and is safe. Rescue teams with the Border Patrol, Mesilla Valley and the state of New Mexico worked the area in search for the man. Searchers aboard a Border Patrol Air Marine Operations helicopter spotted the man and got him safely out of the forest on Monday. The unidentified hiker told first responders he got stranded after injuring his head in a fall while trying to escape a flash flood four days earlier.
