Students Protest District Board’s Continued Prohibition of School Sports

Students in Albuquerque Public Schools protest the school board’s continuance of its prohibition of school sports. Several hundred students gathered yesterday in front of the APS headquarters on Uptown Boulevard Northeast to make their views known. The students disagree with last week’s school board member decision to keep most school activity online only the rest of the semester. APS Superintendent Scott Elder says the board meets again today to consider sending a special request to state officials to approve school sports even if learning is still mostly online.
