The Three Rivers wildfire burning near Ruidoso is nearly 20-percent contained. The National Park Service said as of yesterday the fire was 19-percent contained and is now burning on just over 71-hundred acres. The report says there are still pockets of fire burning inside the perimeter. The fire started last Monday April 26th, at one point reaching 12-thousand acres before rainy weather late last week helped hotshot crews begin to bring the blaze under control. Dry, warm weather projected for early this week could hinder firefighters’ efforts again.
